I ran into something interesting last night that I wasnt really sure about. I had a regular powered Palace Guard Palace Guard on the board, and my opponent attacked with several cards, including a Prized Unicorn. I played a Righteousness, and we decided that the palace guard could block them all, since he was still blocking the Unicorn...
Was this correct? Does anyone have input on this?

I've always really liked this card. I thought it was really good, although i did not know why. To hopefully help others that are confused:
palace guard can block any number of creatures. this has nothing to do with combat damage, it has to do with the second step of combat, assigning blockers. This is where I always got confused.
Lets say your opponent attacks you with 5 4/4 tokens, and you only have a palace guard . You block all the tokens with the palace guard. Now combat damage takes place, and the first token and the palace guard fight, and the palace guard dies, and the token lives. now the other tokens are still blocked, but have nowhere to do their damage.
That is why the palace guard is good. Think of it as an inverted, upside down Prized Unicorn.
@PlankEyeWilly- yes you were correct. I think this was made to trump the Prized Unicorn Ha Ha.

Several questions to be answered in here, not going to post who i'm replying to.
When equiped with gorgon flail, he can at most kill one creature for each point of power he has (if it's just him and the flail, that's 2) the rest of the creatures he blocks wont take any damage, and therefore wont die.
This guy can block an entire nacatl war-pride by himself. They must each be blocked by one creature, and each one will be... by the same one creature.
You are correct with the goblin war drums... he can be one of the two blockers for each of the opponents creatures, but you still need one more for each of them... two palace gaurds can block everything together though.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Ghostly Possession it's a cheap way to set up a very thorough wall. he can now block their flyers as well, and takes no damage. Who gives a flying poop-waffle if he can't deal damage anymore, he doesn't do that much anyways. Not quite indestructibility, but durn... (see all)
