Still pound for pound white's best piece of removal in Limited aside from Day of Judgment.

Unless you're playing in limited format, his Kithkin gal counterpart beats him by a country mile. 3.5 in limited, 1.5 elsewhere - 2.5/5.

Replaced by the better Gideon's Lawkeeper.

A Master Decoy or a weaker version to Goldmeadow Harrier. At least it survives a Prodigal Pyromancer.
Tapping a creature isn't a white ability. It requires to make a choice before the damage happens. It is surely a blue ability, since the P/T values are ignorable and it's similar to Sleep. White should get damage prevention, lifelink, protection or similar abilities instead.

A very solid card; usable to deal with whatever you need it to target. I remember I kept Ulamog down with the Naya Battlemage equivalent ability of this guy. It's very tight.

I think many people don't quite get the differences between this, Gideon's Lawkeeper, Goldmeadow Harrier and Master Decoy/Benalish Trapper
Both the Lawkeeper and Harrier are cheaper in cast cost for the same ability, but have only 1 toughness and therefore are in danger of being offed by mass 1 damage sources like Breath of Darigaaz and Pestilence.
Granted these 2 are soldiers and kithkin(for the Harrier) which are better tribal supported in white than wizards who belong to Blue/Red
Decoy/Trapper is an exact copy of this except both are Soldiers and not Wizards, I would take Decoy/Trapper if I plan to use Soldiers as the main creatures (Daru Warchief), Catapult Master etc) that support each other as a tribe
So this card is not exactly worse than the other variations

I like him better then gideon's lawkeeper. extra for some armor, so he cant be pinged or whatnot. Plus I dont like running the planeswalker's companion cards without running the planeswalker.
