Good advice to remember the next time you're tempted to take Blightsteel Colossus up on that backrub.

He's crushing an artifact but it looks like a f*cking octopus.

Do they eat sushi on Mirrodin? I think they'd be relatively happy to have all the mercury ridden fish in California.

The cheapest so far in a red deck. Does anybody know any similar to this card? Maybe a 0 red? Or a 1-0 Artifact, well they can't do Instants. Right?

I can't see a red draft deck in which I'm not running this guy. He'll ALWAYS have something to hit, and often something potentially game-changing. His best use may be whilst drafting, however. Getting this guy to table is a clear indicator that red is open.

Got a lot better with NPH as great tech against Spellskites trying to protect Swords. Not to mention the plethora of targets anyway (Contagion Clasp, Everflowing Chalice, Tumble Magnet, etc).

Now completely outdone by Smelt. Same mana, same speed, no "noncreature" clause.

I'd prefer a Shatter for R. Seriously, we've had Oxidize and Shattering Spree.

Ingot Chewer has a lower evoke cost, not to mention the creature option. Though I guess making this a Nature's Claim without the drawback would've rendered Liquimetal Coating decks much too good.

Has no one considered the vintage possibilities? A one casting combo piece killing, goodbye Mr. Time Vault
