I could still see someone using him as a finisher but it would be quite risky without any backup(Counterspell, ect)

The art is epic. One of the first cards where I really saw how huge the monster was. Also, 10/10 was the biggest creature I had seen at the time.

10/10 with trample really hurts your opponent, but its so hard to accomplish. The mana costs are ok for a big guy like this, but its drawbacks are really crippling it. Atleast the art is great and its one of MTGs largest creatures.

well, nobody needs to use this as finisher anymore these days, there are enough much better cards which are cheaper, stronger and/or don't have such a huge drawback.

i like the artwork, though :D

I can't imagine a situation where I would want to use this in comparison to Stormtide Leviathan. This guy has more power, but Stormtide is not only unblockable, it stops most other creatures from attacking at all. Both are Leviathans both are big creatures, this just seems outclassed.

Also, Stromtide doesn't make you sac lands.

Cards like Inkwell Leviathan and Grozoth show how even {U} creatures are getting overall better over time.

Love the art.

If you had a goblin named "Goblin" - that would be stupid. Or an Elf just named "Elf".

But this is a Leviathan, and it is named Leviathan, and it was right.

If The Dark had had Legends, this would have been one.

The Granddaddy of big blue beatdown.

Damn, guy got a whole creature type named after him.
Anyway, just play a Puppeteer or an Unbender tine or something.
What drawback?

Sad that the name LEVIATHAN is taken by something so mediocre

The only way I could see this barley playable in casual is with Eon Hub and some High Tide to get him out on turn 6 without only one drawback in a monoblue deck. Still this is much complicated, quite risky and not a very blue way of winning games. 2/5.
