Two mana for a 3/3?
Even with the life payment, that's a pretty good deal.

God, such a flavour win on this card, fantastically convincing flavour text too... Innistrad pulled off 'horror' so well.

I would have preferred the ability to be: "At the beginning of your upkeep, if there is a black permanent on the battlefield, you may transform Cloistered Youth." Then to reliably flip the card you would have to have a little black commitment, but if you wanted to risk it you could play without black and hope your opponent drops a black card. And the ability is more flavorful to boot (in this version, why is the girl getting possessed if there are only plains and humans in play)?

Little Girl decks always have some way to turn her into a threat.

Oh god, they dun goofed with this double faced card business on gatherer ._.
Who wants to comment on half of a card?
Anyways Cloistered Youth is cute enough, and a good example of top-down design. She could have been a little more interesting or powerful though. 3.5/5

@Zetan:
"I'm just glad they didn't make two comment sections"
Actually, you are commenting on two halves of a card. Here's the second half (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Discussion.aspx?multiverseid=221222)
