I think every planeswalker had a creature/character who inspired them. Excluding Karn, Nicol Bolas, and Venser, who were inspired by their own card and character. In my opinion, I think it would go like this:
Chandra-Jaya Ballard, Task Mage: Both are red aligned hot headed pyromaniac women who love to set stuff on fire.
Jace- Arcanis the Omnipotent: Both are blue aligned wizards specializing in mind powers and mental dominance.
Ajani-Lord Windgrace: Lord Windgrace was one of the planeswalkers who joined with Urza to fight against the Phyrexians. You can see him on the cards Planeswalker's Fury and Divine Light. Although Plainswalkers of that time were not color associated, Lord Windgrace is considered to be mostly red and white, like Ajani. Lord Windgace c... (see all)

While I would love to see a Jaya vs Chandra catfight, I think the two would actually go well together in a deck. Especially with Chandra Ablaze.

It's easy to miss that Jaya's abilities go a long way in justifying having multiples of her, as a legend, in your deck: her own abilities mean that if you ever have multiples in your hand, you can just go ahead and discard her! Excellent card.

Each Time Spiral card was an homage to at least one previously printed card.
The card represents Jaya Ballard (http://wiki.mtgsalvation.com/article/Jaya_Ballard), a player favorite for her humorous and sadistically to-the-point flavor text quotations throughout Ice Age block. For her card, she can spellshape three different spells she was quoted on: Pyroblast, Incinerate, and Inferno; this spellshaper turns any card in your hand into one!
After the events of Ice Age, she ascended into a planeswalker and helped found the pyromancer academy which trained Chandra. This card represents her snatched out of her timeline prior to ascending to planeswalker status. Despite the seeming similarity between her three ability layout to modern Planeswalker cards, Wizards of the Coast has stated numerous times that this card was not a precursor to them.

The bad part about this card is that it has so many abilities with so much text that there's no place for flavor text. Jaya's always been a quote goldmine. I AM DISAPPOINT.
Good card, though.
