This card must have been designed to entice Johnny players. Who else saw this, sighed, and knew they now had no choice but to draw up a Black demon-tribal/control deck?

Instant speed, easily recurred discard. Auriok Salvagers with this, for instance, can create a pretty hard lock by discarding your opponent's draw every turn.

I played with this in Standard and never noticed it was instant speed discard.
