I'm using it to negate Treacherous Pit-Dweller's drawback in a way that avoids producing a two-for-one (If they kill the dweller or bounce it, you've still got the beetle itself. It might only be 0/1, but you can sacrifice it to something like Demonlord of Ashmouth or even stick a Rancor on it and swing away!)

Hey, if nothing else, it's a cheap and easy creature to abuse with Roaring Primadox.

Also combos strangely with Primordial Hydra.

Now that Corpsejack Menace is out, this might be a great one-drop in a deck with it. Pay Green to get a chump blocker and a permanent +2/+2 boost on whatever creature you want =D

Beetlebond (When this creature enters the battlefield, you may bond it with an unbonded creature. They remain beetlebonded for as long as you control both of them.)

When Bond Beetle becomes beetlebonded to a creature, put a +1/+1 counter on that creature.

"Step off my turf, dude. The multiverse isn't big enough for the two of us."
--Wirewood Symbiote

Oracle Ruling: Bond Beetle can Beetlebond with itself.

I prefer to call him Blink Beetle. Great effect in {G} and in my opinion is better than Ironshell Beetle, since it can target itself (thus making it a 1/2 for {G}) if you really need it...

This card is beautiful. Then again, I'm biased because I like insects...
As with Timberland Guide, this is all about flexibility. For the low cost of Green, you can cast it early as a 1/2 blocker, or cast it lategame to give one of your creatures a boost (and get a blocker). You could even use it to cancel out Undying effects in a pinch.
Now, this could be a teaser for the return of Graft (or something similar)...
