I actually liked this card when seventh was out. It was a fine flyer, easily scoring a couple of slaps against players if the air zone was clear, and it could add to a block without harming itself.

Sort of like the 7th edition Llanowar Elves is the only art of that card to show more than one elf, this one also changes the art from an Angel to a Spirit, as per the card type.
The creature itself isn't too bad. A downgrade of Serra Advocate, but with a reasonable CMC. I always liked running these creatures in decks that gave creatures vigilance, that way I could use this bonus even when the Angelic Page was attacking.

The art on this is rather good. I am curious as to exactly what sort of ideologies or causes the artist had in mind with regards to the flag.
