Yeah, I agree that the synergy between Sphere of Safety, Martial Law, and this could make for a very resilient enchantment deck.

White and Blue have the best counters in the game, IMO. First Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer, then this? Bribery and Filibuster counters. Both sound epic.

Equip him with ring of evos isle to increase his tankiness and give him protection from removal. Obviously you can't put elocutors in a deck; you build a deck around him.

I guess you could Time Warp, then Reverberate; but that's a pretty strong 7 drop anyway. Lightning Greaves or Swiftfoot Boots could help protect him. Ring of Xanthrid would give him regenerate for (2), so he could die and keep his Filibuster counters. Safe Passage, counterspells, and Faith's Shield could help protect him for a few turns. Supreme Verdict. A Ring of Thune and Ring of Evos Isle would pump his toughness twice an upkeep.
All of this sounds like too much work. Azor's Elocutors reminds me of Wit's End; a card that can win the game if your opponent is controlled or in trouble already. That being said, I could drop one in my "UW Fly Time" sideboard, if my opponent lacks creature removal I'll bring him in. It's a creative card.

I think the most awesome part about this is that it's 3/5.
I didn't know 3 old guys were 1/1.66's. I'm not exactly sure why they're so tough.
And obviously, Win-con. Weirdly, if you have enough stuff to stop stuff, you can win. I think this was printed as a secondary win-con for Turbofog, besides Luminarch Ascension. Seriously, once you got the isochron Scepter with Silence in it, Whatcha going to do?

I love my alternate win cons, so I'm a fan of this card. Because of its simplistic nature, at times it can be considered easier to build around than others (like Felidar Soverign and Mayael's Aria), as all you need to do is enforce control for it to go off. At other times though, that simplicity works against it - a card like Felidar can win much more easily in a solid lifegain deck, and often wins via the alternate the turn after he comes out. Mayael's can win very quickly depending on what creatures you have out (ie. Mosswort Troll/Ageless Entity).
However, proliferate certainly does help out the Elocutors - and it even comes on a very good card in Tezzeret's Gambit. +1 CA at 3 mana and 3 life is only slightly worse than Sign in Blood and can be played in any color. The counter is quite relevant if you have the Elocutors out as it speeds up the game by a turn.
Beyond that, you're already playing white or blue, two of the best control colors, so setting up and then winning with the ... (see all)
