Another new set, another completely forgettable dragon.
They seem to have Angels figured out; why can't they make good dragons?

I understand that WotC tries to produce cards in each set for every player but I feel like cards in an "expert" set , or whatever term the use now-a-days for these block set, should in some way all be related to the set/setting. I mean they printed Talrand in M13 but he really feels like more of an Izzet card given his ability. Even Delver feels more Ravnica than Avacyn block. It feels like this card belongs in the core set. He's a good dragon. He works well in casual and in EDH so he has a place but does not fit the flavor of Ravnica at least not yet. At this point in time Gatecrash and Dragon's Maze (Sinker) have not yet been printed so we will see where the story takes us.

I would have MUCH rather seen a 3-drop dragon in this set, there has never been one and they JUST printed the first one and two drop dragons in M13.

I like how Wizards has decided to make Dragons not suck anymore.

For such a huge cost, getting Conspiracy or Xenograft running first isn't really that much of a tall order. That makes this considerably better since it's immediately very nasty.

Well. That's terrifying to contemplate for limited. As for constructed stuff, this with Hellkite Charger anyone?
