And what basis did people use that marked this less then 5/5? Was the fact it can't produce red bother you?

An original dual land, its most notable moment was when it cost Bernard Lestrée the 1994 world championship though Karma.

I think that's the key to understanding why these were printed the way they were and apparently not considred overpowered at the time. Considering how many pure color-hate cards there were in early magic sets (Karma, Angry Mob, Curse of Marit Lage, Wrath of Marit Lage, Flashfires, etc), counting as two land types was thought to be enough of a disadvantage to balance out the convenience. They even go out of their way to underline this in the rules text. Nowadays, Wizards thankfully doesn't print such cheap boring cards as the aforementioned anymore, and there are many more cards that derive positive effects from you controlling certain land types.

Wait for it.

"Where's that dual land, bro?"

"It's right bayou."

God, that was stupid.

Commenting on Every Card this Weekend! Alpha has more great cards than most people realize. It's not just the Power 20 (9 + Duals + Your Favorite Other Card)- MOST of the Rares still hold up to today's measure for uncommons, and even the commons are usually not awful in Limited! And there are lots of nice little pretty gems like Animate Dead :D

I'm going to straight up say and admit that I liked this card a LOT less (flavor wise) before Pirates of the Caribbean.

Also, Innistrad Block happened to remind me a lot of Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island. :3

Since we live in a post-Doom Blade world now, Terror will never be Reprinted for Standard. :P Therefore, here is my Tribute for the forgotten Black Kill Spell :)

You Hear the SCREECHING of an OWL,
You Hear the WIND begin to HOWL--,
You Know there's ZOMBIES on the Prowl/autoca... (see all)

It's a great card, but seriously, it's not as good as everyone says (still 5/5 though). It's like the argument against Serra Angel back in 5th edition. It's not that the dual lands were broken, they just stand out among the other cards because, seriously, they can produce 2 types of mana with no drawbacks. They could print these in every set and no one would care.
