Black should be on the offensive, save your creature killing spells for the ones who really matter in hurting your life total
The card is let down by the high cost and default P/T, requiring threshold (though black actually achieves threshold quite easily)

A 4/4 flyer for 4 isn't that bad. Being unable to block isn't really important when you've got loads of removal to deal with attackers anyway. It's reasonably costed and has an awesome piece of art.

This artwork was the cover of the second deck I have ever owned.
It was a deck that my brother bought me as a gift to initiate me to magic.

I'm gonna be biased here and give it a 4/5. I know that nowadays it isn't that over the curve even with the treshold applied, but back in the days, 4/4 for 4cmc with flying was a very good deal.

I actually liked this card way back when, it was the very first card of magic I ever own so I'm probably being a little nice to this card and if it was any other I would never use it.

This was a good beater on Odyssey limited, and it's also one of the first Magic cards i ever saw, so it gets a plus for nostalgic value.
