this is obviously the #3 card of all time

Here is a challenge. Make a deck that becomes worse when you put black lotus in it. Don't try too hard. Your head might explode.

The question of a deck that does not benefit from its inclusion has finally been answered: 43 land. Really though, for 99.9% of the decks out there, this card provides insane tempo advantage for no cost and should be an auto-include if you somehow find yourself lucky enough to get a hold of one.

I agree with Syvanis, what sets Black Lotus above possibly every other card is that it can go in, and benefit, almost every deck. You wouldn't play Yawgmoth's Will in white weenie, but you'd play Black Lotus. You wouldn't play Gaea's Cradle in monoblue control, but you'd play Black Lotus. You wouldn't play Wrath of God in Red Deck Wins, but... you see where I'm going with this?

I'll be honest:
If you rated it lower than 5, you are just trolling.
Seriously, this is amazing tempo advantage, and there is zero drawback.

BEST CARD EVER
Sure it doesn't win games by itself but the speed it adds is priceless and will win you many games I have a friend who get turn 4 wins with no mana accel, I know its not very impressive, but the point is with this he could literally win on his first turn, his combo only needs the mana not the turns, and the rest of his cards are extended.
Whoever didn't give this a 5 is a retard this is an autoinclude on any vintage because when you draw it, it is awesome.
(I know that combo isn't very impressive and there are lots like it.)

"infernox10 what are you talking about this card dies to Force of Will anyone in their right mind would give it 0.5/5"
This post seems so overtly trollish that I want to take it as sarcasm, but then I remember some of your other posts. I have a hard time believing it, but I am faced with the evidence that chimpanzees hold opinions about Magic cards.

Saying that Yawgmoth's Will is better than Black Lotus is like saying candy is better than money.
The power 9 are the power 9 for a reason. That reason being that no matter what your combo, no matter what card you want to get to win these will help you.
Yawgmoth's Will is a great card, don't get me wrong. But it is not as universally awesome as the power 9. Black Lotus is the king of them all because it goes in any deck as said above. Of course if you have a Time Walk you might load up whatever mono-deck you have with dual lands just so you can slap it in there anyway, but that's a different discussion...
The only reasonable arguement anyone could make would be Demonic Tutor or similar cards for the same reason.

Every deck becomes better with the inclusion of this card, with fixes for this card attempted time and time again, with none approaching the original...

A situation where it would suck to have a black lotus: Any time your opponent has out Geth, Lord of the Vault.
