When I first saw the Eventide version a couple of years ago I thought 'Wow, that's quite fitting for Orzhov'.
Guess someone else thought so too. And now I have two kinds of tokens for it! Always like having different tokens, me.

Glad this is back. Solid anti-reanimator/flashback tech right here.

You know what's awesome about this card? Other than taking a Gravecrawler out of use, you can cast this in response to a Deathrite Shaman's ability and exile the card it was targetting, making the ability fizzle.

It's more versatile than Vile Rebirth because it's a hybrid, your token gets flying, and you can exile ANY card in a graveyard opposed to only a creature.

This was a very flavorful reprint for the Orzhov.

A cool card, with great art. But in B/W in limited GTC, this card has not worked out for me, especially since great cards like One Thousand Lashes keep big guys on the board. Dropping it late game could work well with extort, but often at that point you may be willing to pay a bit more for a bigger effect. If you're benefiting from the late game, dropping a 1/1 flier may not be so good as you'd hope.

This is a very fair card, good common with plenty of imaginative uses. I'm thinking of this, Lingering Souls and Intangible Virtue in a deck together with some extort, could work very well.

Looks like Doomed Traveler is still Doomed even in the Graveyard. Ooh well, another Token on the Battlefield. Nice knowing you Doomed Traveler.
