Now THIS cypher card is overcosted. Damn.

Yeeesssss. Got an "undead" type of card for Dimir (these guys just don't die, do they?).

My opponent conceded to my Consuming Aberration promo card at 11/11 before I got to untap and cast this. Darn it, I really, really wanted to mill her out.

Type your comment here. Combos with Lotleth Troll, just by his trample alone. Pitch a creature, get a +1/+1, swing and get some damage through, get that creature back to pitch again.

I think my biggest gripe with this card and Cipher in general is how many conditions need to be met. You need the spell, a creature, and enough mana to cast them. Then you need your creature to attack, which is something Dimir seems reluctant to do in the first place. Then you need your creature not to be blocked, destroyed, exiled, bounced, had its power or toughness reduced to zero, or its damage prevented. And then at the end of it, all you've done is Disentombed twice. It's hard for me to justify that.

Now okay, you'll probably laugh at me and call me a buffoon for saying this, but I think Morbid Plunder is a good card. A solid 2-for-1 when you need it (i.e. when your creatures are dead), with many synergies and some tutoring possibility. Assuming you have a suitable cipher creature (invisible stalker, Cartel Aristocrat, etc), this is a morbid plunder for 1 more that turns into an additional disentomb every turn until it stops working. If you need ways to get creatures into the graveyard, there's whispering madness, cartel aristocrat (recycle etb or dies triggers while poking damage through), or out of standard things like Architects of Will, Shriekmaw, or Mulldrifter. Also goes nice with Liliana of the Veil.
