This is one of those cards I don't really see as bad or good.
It's just fun. I'm glad Wizards remembers to throws these kinds of cards in every now and then. This guy joins Tavern Swindler in that regard.

This is a "meh" card. It isn't great and it isn't awful. It is too expensive for what it does, so it will not see much constructed play. and tapping for its activated ability is not impressive. In Dragon's Maze/Gatecrash/RtR sealed deck, it effectively blocks Deathcult Rogue, if that matters at all. Defender gives it even less usability overall. Again, meh.
