I love this card. There are so many effects that trigger off of dealing combat damage, which means there are plenty of ways to abuse this effect.
Maelstrom Archangel: 2 free casts.
Curiosity or any card with similar effect: draw .
Ghastlord of Fugue: exile 2 cards from the opponent's hand.
Anything with cipher ever: cast it twice.
Spellbinder: Same as cipher, but any instant.

Plus you know, double strike is always great, so being able to run it without running red or white is kinda awesome.
