I love that flavor text! Maybe it also could have been Blightsteel to bacon.

I hope your creatures got vaccinated, because they're about to get swine flu.

All the bacon gives new meaning to the term 'delicious flavor'.

someone likes Pongify as much as I do over at Wizards. This and Rapid Hybridization in standard at the same time. And I believe that Mark Rosewater worked on this set and I know he worked on gatecrash as well as the time spiral block... It all fits.

When reading this to my wife, my stepdaughter said "oh, I bet they look really cute in their tutu's" ??? 2/2 green Boar = pigs in tutu's. One of these days she'll learn to play magic and it'll be funnier for her.

This is actually extremely effective against a lot of the Naya decks that have been running around lately. Boros Reckoner, Voice of Resurgence, potentially anything that's been granted the Gift of Immortality - none of them are threatening any more. No manner of Boros Charm or Rootborn Defenses can save them, and Emmara Tandris (in a shocking first) is rendered completely useless. No, it wouldn't have been effective against Thragtusk Almighty, but what was?

This is great in EDH. Rather than wipe the entire board I just turn the cards I don't like into piggies. Exile over destroy just makes it all the more a threat. I can see it being played in standard but not the same level.
