Interesting possibilities with this card. Pair it with a Hissing Miasma or two and have your opponents' own hard work finsh them off, or have a Holy Day or Fog ready on hand to tap out their entire army ready for the killing blow.

Patron of the Kitsune or a Righteous Cause can also be helpful, as you still gain life even if you negate the damage form the incoming creatures.

Such a simple, intuitive yet highly strategic card. I'm kind of surprised that this card has never been reprinted.
