OK i had to create a account on this website because people are ***ing me off bitching about how this 1/1 cost 8 mana but has a morph cost of 1 i dont know if it is because these people are new to magic. or only know of the stupidly easy lorwyn/shadowmoor sets but magic has always created these cards that seem usless but have incredible potential. this card can be used in so many great ways the primary being combining it with torrent of fire and Dispersal Shield for a great burn/counter combo. with a good hand on turn 5 you can burn your enemy for 8 dmg. before you complain about how the card is uselss and over cost and stupid just take a look at the cards in and around its set chances are there are cards to combo. work with. and amplfy the card your laughing at. ALL HAIL THE GREAT LORD EGOTIST!

This is awful. My friends used to call this the worst card in magic until we saw the Homelands set. (pick any card).

This card could have been good but with how top heavy he is, he has been reduced to a accessory to a combo card. He is in the top 20 on my useless list, which has Wood Elemental as #1.

It takes way too much effort to make a card like this decent. If you want a high mana cost for your Erratic Explosion, use Draco, Emrakul, Darksteel Colossus...

Okayyyyyyyyy...normally I can see some kind of justification for making something like so expensive...like, for example, Wurmskin Forger cranks out a couple of +1/+1 counters, and Gigantomancer makes things large for cheap. But there is no justification, none whatsoever, for giving this guy such a colossally high cost. I mean yeah, you can morph him, but...seriously, eight mana? What about him merits eight mana? Combo card or not, I don't think I'm a fan.
