Has a solid place in Shadow decks, Knight decks and Mercenary decks. Rarely do multiple creature types pay off like that.

4/5 for what I consider one of the strongest dauthi in the game (aside from warlord). People will still stick behind slayer with fervor, but I think the extra mana is worth it for a pumpable shadow creature. The fact you can search for this guy with Mercenary cards from Mercadian Masques/Time Spiral makes this guy even more deadly (you can bring it out at your opponent's end phase, then swing in for effectively 4-5 damage a turn, putting them on a 4 turn clock).
