This is my favorite artifact. It is so surprising how often the indestructibility matters. It is so good that it should be in most multicolor decks, and many monocolor. When you run Hoard-Smelter Dragon, you should certainly have these in the deck. There are other ways to force the issue. Use cards like obliterate, Jokulhaups, shatterstorm, or Fracturing Gust.

this is a quite powerful card actually. there are lots of other artifacts out there that aren't indestructible, and on top of that can only produce two (the cameos like Seashell Cameo from Invasion) or three specific mana (the obelisks like Obelisk of Esper from Shards of Alara), or require an activation cost in the form of mana (Celestial Prism and Mana Prism), life (Phyrexian Lens) or even both (Standing Stones).
the only cards that can keep up with this card is either Spectral Searchlight, which might find use to mana burn your opponent, or Coalition Relic for one single extra mana. both of them aren't indestructible, though...

I agree with you, mode...it's almost funny how many mana-producing artifacts this is strictly better than. 4.5 out of 5 for rocking the inexpensive mana-producing artifact house.

It doesn't just make Phylactery Lich immortal, it makes his BBB cost much easier to play in multicolor. It's like he was built for this thing.

lol i remember having this.. i didn't know that this would actually be better than most mana producing artifacts... i didn't give importance to this before since i was still a beginner then lol... ill try looking for my copy of this card at home haha
