I like how people complain about how expensive the first ability is. For starters, if you're playing a decent Sunburst deck, you shouldn't need to worry about mana costs, as by the time you drop this (Assuming no Fist of Suns), you should have access to 9-10 mana, 4 of which will not be a great loss. Also, he's an 8/8, and Doubling Season and an Energy Chamber make him entirely ridiculous.

They need to bring sunburst back. It's reasons like this. They should even have something that pertains to all sunburst creatures. Or stuff that says like "Add one purple mana to your mana pool (purple mana can be spent as either {R} or {U}. It's still it's own separate color.)" It sucks that stuff like sunburst and modular were immediately forgotten after their releases.

Works better with Experiment Kraj EDH, where Kraj can have a single mana untapper to machine gun the enemy board down.

I never played when Sunburst was a thing, so is the largest he can be is a 5/5 since there's only 5 different colors of mana, or can he be a 9/9 for UUUUUUUUU?
