For what it's worth this card had a functional reprint in Ice Age as Portent, only portent is better because it cantrips during the next upkeep, and isn't on the not-to-be-reprinted list.

Well, the card is called 'Natural Selection', so I guess being an intelligent (the rope) vegetarian (apple/tomato) tiger eagle thing is the best that evolution has to offer.
