WotC should have given this land a different name. Something more fitting for a land then for something that is moved from place to place.

@ NeoKoda:

Perhaps the forge was erected amid the crossfire. Or, rather, multiple battles continuously occur around this particular forge -- something about it being a leyline of red and white mana, perhaps the forge is the object being fought over. Any of those explanations works for me.
