Best friend of metalcraft. And cheap lil' critters are always welcome, despite limitations. Especially cheap lil' myrs.

2/2 or even 1/2 would have been cool, 1 toughness is just too easy to accidentally kill.

Still great card, and I LOVE the little baby-myrthing in the picture, it's adorable.

Awesome! A 2/1 for 2 is not terrible, but the ability to generate creatures makes this a potentially insane card. What I want to know is can the cost be paid repeatedly? If so, this is broken and so are all the smiths, but if not, this is merely terrific.

Edit: This is myrly terrific. Sorry.

Running a weenie deck with etherellium sculptors, scour glasses, metalurgions, and myrs and myr support (this card) is fun. It is really fun to play a myr for no cost and then spend 1 to create another! Tempered steel in this combo is pretty fun too. Inspired charge, golem's heart, steel hellkites, and some changelings. And of course some control & permission cards if its blue. Yeah this deck is fun, fast, and not so weenie after a few turns.

I love how the Myr head is all just "Sup."

Thanks to this and Origin Spellbomb, mono-white Myr Battlesphere looks tastily viable.

@ClockworkSwordfish, nope, the cost can't be played more than once (it's a triggered ability, and so you can only use it when it's trigger happens).

As for the card, it'd be really fun in a white/artifact weenie equipment deck--play equipment to make your creatures bigger, get more creatures, swing. Repeat as necessary. Unfortunately, it doesn't interact as well with cards like Brave the Elements, but it does interact very nicely with Tempered Steel--3/3 Myr tokens every time you play an artifact sounds really fun, and since Scars has, I'm fairly certain more artifacts than cards of any individual color, it's fairly easy to get a lot of Myr.

Yo dawg, I herd you like myr, so we put a Myrsmith in your myr tribal deck so you can tap your myr to summon more myr while you summon more myr!

You can only pay the cost once per artifact spell, me think.

When it comes to creating Myr, she's a lot easier on the eyes than Memnarch, that's for damn sure. (Wait, was that a non-sequitur?)
