I'm pretty sure forest dryads have better ways to lure people in to the forests than with FREAKING FISHING POLES

Isn't this art a little...unfitting?
I mean, its luring something into blocking, not...a fishing lure.

Look at that printed text. Its like they were trying to fit the rulings onto the card. Thats early magic for yah.

Still though, there's something oddly fascinating about the concept of a goblin wearing a fez with a little skull on top.

I think one of the Oracle rulings was written just to break people's brains:

"The opponent does not have to activate any abilities in an attempt to make his or her creatures block. More specifically, a cost to block of zero mana is an optional cost you can choose not to pay."

I can't find a card or combination of cards that creates a cost to block of zero mana. What in the blazes did they have in mind?

Interesting factoid: On Wikipedia, one of the sources for Magic: The Gathering (number 97 as of this writing, it''s the one about academic research into the game) is a PDF of a scientific study, and one of the informants says that he doesn't like the art on this card; He sees it more as a bolt of electricity pulling it in.

Is it just me, or does that seem like the sun in a desert? Why do citizens of Tatooine need fishing poles?

@Salient: You didn't try to find very hard then. If you attack with creature enchanted with Lure and I have creature I've enchanted with Cowed by Wisdom and no cards in my hand(1) then I don't need to block your lured creature because I don't need to pay 0.

(1) Or enchanted by anyone who doesn't have any cards in their hand.

Furthermore as Magic has thousands of different cards I'd never say that there is no way for something that is possible in the rules to happen.
