Love Phil Foglio's art. Brings me back to the olden days of magic...

It's a-me, Mario! I'm-a here with my friends, from Dragonball-Z!

...I have to admit, Master of Etherium's comment made me laugh -- possibly his only actually funny comment.

The use of 'intercept' for 'block' was actually a pretty good idea, since the word 'intercept' matches the mechanics a little better. It really did help new players avoid the "my creature attacks your creature" misconception. Wizards should have switched over comprehensively while they had the chance; using 'intercept' only in the Starter level product, then promptly dropping it, was a bad call.

I second Ideatog - this art style's really enjoyable, and Foglio was one of the best. The art lately (especially in the Innistrad block) is gorgeous and evocative and wonderful, but it's been a while since the art on a card made me grin like this one does.

It shows what unsecure footing does. You need five guys on flying rugs to get 1/1, but one guy on foot to get the same (Eager Cadet).

This is possibly the most realist art I have seen in the entire magic the gathering trading card game, I don't know what you guys are talking about.
