If they really wanted to make a great archer lord, they should have dropped the "lord" effect (+1/+1) and just given them vigilance. Extra power on a creature that needs to tap doesn't help much except in blocking situations. Usually power boost are to promote aggressive actions while his second ability wants you to keep your archers untapped to 'ping'. As is, you have to make a choice to take advantage of the boost and swing, or use his ability and ping for (usually) less damage but possibly a creature kill.

Don't get me wrong, I like him. He isn't a bad card, but this is just what I think. Something else funny, he is an archer without a ping ability himself.

I just run four, four Imperious Perfects, and the rest of the deck as elf archers. It's the deck I play when I don't want to think too hard.

4 Greatbow Doyen
4 Thornweald Archer
4 Ezuri’s Archers
4 Jagged-Scar Archers
4 Skyshroud Archer
4 Scattershot Archer

Win or lose, this is a fun group right here.

I like to yell "PULL!" right before I launch an enemy into the air, then fire at will!

This would be great but sadly its tribe is sort of bad. Most archers are rated less than 3/5. Add that to the fact that this is the only archer tribal in the game and that archers mostly exist to hose flying and you have a weak deck. As awesome as this guy is he does not really have a home. Still, I like him.

That Falkreath Exterminator's not too bad an archer to run alongside this guy.

Also, Predatory Rampage. Yup. Think about it.

I didn't know there was a Repercussion lord. (also: surprised that nobody has mentioned that card yet)

@GrimjawxRULES - this is utter nitpicking, so please forgive me, but what you wrote isn't *quite* accurate:

> You assign 8 damage to the blocker (resulting in the blocker taking 4 damage and the last 4 being dealt to your opponent)

Trample doesn't *automatically* mean that any "leftover" damage is assigned to the defending player. Rather, it offers you the opportunity to do so, once all blocking creatures have been assigned lethal damage. Assigning 8 damage to the blocker would result in 8 damage to the blocker - assigning 4 damage to the blocker, and 4 damage to the opponent, would have the result you described.

This would actually come into play if you had two Greatbow Doyens out. In this case, you'd actually *want* to have your 8/8 assign 8 damage to the blocker (rather than 4 to the blocker and 4 trample damage), because then the full 8 damage would be "doubled" by the Doyens, rather than just 4.
