Fantastic artwork and flavor is most of what this card has going for it. I like the number of options it gives you. One of the cooler fading cards. Sadly, it doesn't have much of a place in magic today. Fading is unloved, he plays poorly with other hydras, and many other cards do what he does better.

It's ability makes it hard to chump-block, since it can lay waste to weenies in its path, and can force the defending player to make tough decisions by threatening their more powerful creatures. No matter what it ends up trading for, you always feel like you've won out - since it would fade away anyway.Perfect for the kind of mindgames red enjoys. Swing, ping, and Fling.
