So if I play this card and my opponent has some sort of artifact or creature like a howling mine or kami of the crescent moon, do I still draw an extra card on my turn?

i gave this guy swiftfoot boots & a indomitable archangel swiftfoot boots as well. and gave both of them darksteel plate for field wipes. he was invincible from EVERYTHING and i was playing a blue white control deck. he had no chance...

Compare to Dosan the Falling Leaf, which is legendary, costs more, doesn't stop activated abilities, and affects you, too. Aside from the different color, this guy is strictly better on four different counts.
