Using the deadly recluse only works if you increase its power, otherwise you only kill one creature.

Devastating combo card, pretty reasonably priced at 2G 1C. Always been a big fan of this one, particularly on any creature with Death Touch or Rampage. Craw Giant anyone? :D
Current gamers can pull of a turn 3 board-clear with this and Deadly Recluse.
For a different way to accomplish something very similar, try Taunting Elf

**Edit. Yeah, I'm an idiot. Per the correct comment below, it wont work on low-powered death touch. Try something that kills all creatures blocking like ***atrice or Thicket Basilisk.

Tangle Asp is the card you want if you're going to do it on turn 3. But then that's not usually the best time... unless you have a way of ensuring the Asp survives. Yavimaya Hollow could help if you've accelerated at some point.

The first time I saw Lure, I distinctly remember thinking, "Man, what a horrible card. Why would someone want to get their creature blocked?" So I had a few of them in my card box collecting dust. A few months past before I had the misfortune of playing against someone at school who used the age-old Thicket Basilisk/Regeneration/Lure combo. At that point, I distinctly remember thinking, "Oh." Lure was made for the Basilisk. That made sense. Somehow I failed to recognize that Lure is an amazing card for green no matter how you look at it. Back when there were no Overruns and the only trampling creatures anyone had were War Mammoth and maybe a Force of Nature, green had Lure to make sure its Craw Wurms did more than just nibble the heads off of Benalish Heroes. Stick this on your Shanodin Dryads and let the big gu... (see all)
