Well, just commented on Dread Cacodemon that he was the fifth demon I'd found that could kill Baneslayer Angel.

This is now the sixth. Wizards were trolling when they gave her Protection from Demons...

Absolutely AMAZING in an Alara Reborn draft, with all the monocolors running around

This guy is actually pretty good. If you take away the big, glaring ability, he's 6cc for a 5/5 flier. That's not so bad, IMHO. If your opponent DOES have a monocolored creature (specifically something hard to kill) though, you get the bonus of it being dead. That's helpful if your opponent has something like Akroma.

this is a great card. unless you go out of your way to put it in the wrong deck, i don't see the validity of all the complaints.

@Buridan
Actually, it does not "target" players. Nothing is targetted, so even if something gives the player protection from a property of this card, he will still have to sacrifice the creatures.

could this guy wipe baneslayer angel? his effect doesnt target, it forces sacrifice. as long as baneslayer is the last monocolored creature standing on the opponents side, they would be forced to sac it even though it was protected from demons. someone correct me if im wrong

In Zendikar you'll see alot more monocolor. Especially with Wizards attempt to resurrect monoblack

You apparently misunderstood something here, Kiumer. If you have no monocolored creature and run only hybrid, gold, or even artifact creatures, you won't have to sacrifice something. If you can't sacrifice a monocolored creature there's no penalty for you.

Maybe this card isn't a bomb in block-constructed or the current standard format with that huge amount of colored cards out there, but after all he's still a 5/5 flyer for 6 and his effect should just do fine in other formats.

This card is amazing. I run it in my black/red deck with only multicolored creatures like Jund Hackblade. Alongside Rakdos the Defiler, you can wipe out a good two-thirds of your opponents creatures in a blink of an eye

great later game drop for cruel control decks. anything with toughness 2 or less can be handled by volcanic fallout, terminate can wipe out bombs, and all they are left with is big creatures you can't target (shroud), that won't fall to volcanic fallouts/decent sized earthquakes. kalonian behemoth comes to mind. So fun to watch the opponent squirm as I wipe their board, and they are forced to sacrifice their huge bomb.
