Hmmm... To troll, or not to troll. Can't say I like it, can't say I hate it. Kind of interesting that someone had the impression that the prospect of an additional turn would make people less likely to cheat him/her(?) into play. Haven't faced it and wouldn't want to. You should probably already have won by the time you get to 15 mana, so apart from using some manner of shortcut, Emrakul feels utterly pointless. "Ha! Look how much I'm winning now!" If you're some kind of tentacle aficionado, or maybe a Pastafarian, and this card gets you off, go for it, I guess. There is way more interesting stuff you can do with that much mana, and if you just wanted to win at that point, a big fireball does the trick without frightening any Japanese school girls. "Well, couldn't my X burn spell be countered?", you might ask. Yes. Don't be so ana l-retentive. It's a multi-player game. You're supposed to interact with other 'walkers. Cards that effectively win right then by themselves are dull. 3/5 My ... (see all)

@Xienombe Emrakul, the Aeons Torn wouldn't hit the graveyard because of his last ability. When Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is put into a graveyard from anywhere, its owner shuffles it into his or her library That's added just to prevent exactly what you plan to do.

Pro coloured spells... spells! that means deathtouch creatures can still kill it. but the again, either you have a pinger with deathtouch and you should have won, or this thing will attack and you lose at least 6 (7)perms.
this card hates the wizard that returns spells from the stack^^

This guy from my casual play group dropped Emrakul, the Aeons Torn twice in a single 3 person game we were playing, and he did it very early each time by playing this green spell (I don't recall the name offhand) that basically had him pull the top 7 cards from his library and put a creature card from among them into play without paying its mana cost and putting the remaining 6 cards at the bottom of his library. Because it wasn't cast, he didn't get the extra turn, and that was the key to making him much easier to defeat. I ended up killing him with a Clone, which while being a colored spell didn't target Emrakul, it did put an identical Legendary Creature into play, causing them both to be destroyed. But if he'd actually cast that bad boy, I would have been crying.

Its really funny to me that the most powerful single card in Magic only has a 4.1 rating (at the time of this comment). Sounds like a lot of angry losers downrating out of rage.
There is no denying that the annhilator 6 is the cherry on top the broken pie that is Emrakul and ensures 99% of the time you cast him you'll win too easily (and painfully for your oppnent(s)). but if you use the five turn death race model for most of your games than getting this guy out is kinda impressive. For me there is no lying, broken or not this is 5/5 any way you cut it

My problem with emrakuel isn't that he wins the game. Once you've reached 15 mana you ought to be winning the game. But not if somebody else already did. That's my problem, no matter what your opponents position, dropping emrakuel will win you the game. Maybe not 'no matter what' but damn near (at least in modern where there's all of 2 preventative answers). It's not just that he can bring a game back from the brink, that's usually really cool to see happen and generally has alot of interaction, but There's nothing even that clever in dropping this. Just, "hey it's Cthulhu! GG!".
Maybe this is a rant, but so what if it is, I'm mad bro >=(
Still gets 5/5 though, not gonna hate-rate

Such an overpowered card.
Sure, it costs a lot, but there are more than enough ways around it.
