A cost of 6 seems almost irrelevant being that it pays for half of itself in a theme made to summon creatures in the 8-11 range. I have 4 of them in my Eldrazi deck and sure, playing one at a time is only useful for the mana ramp. But play 3 or 2 in a row and see how much of a "board position" you'll get. A change of 6 life across both players, 3 mana sources / blockers, and a card that refunds half its own cost. Underrated in my opinion. 4/5

gets you from 6 mana to 9 or 10 on next turn. Not bad ramp, but the effect is kinda weak.

I would never play this card because it doesn't affect your board position in any meaningful way and is an extremely weak ramp.

This works if you are one of those types of palyers (I'm not) who like to use annihilator eldrazi, since some of them can be summoned quickly by sacrificing eldrazi spawn.
But if you like using a creature with annihilator 4 that cannot be blocked by less than 3 creatures, maybe you should be doing something else.

I agree that this is ramp, in {B} nonetheless. However, if you are planning on using sacrificing those eldrazi spawn tokens for {1} on the following turn, you'd be better off playing {G} or {R} for such affects.

Timmy deserves to be able to play the game too ya know..
To the card, it was probably good in limited for making that final push to your giant finisher; but it does only cost 1-less than the smallest eldrazi. It's nice this takes you to Artisan of Kozilek, though that assumes you didn't ramp into this card. I'm thinking at 3 this would be powerful even in Modern and at 4 it'd be usable in specialty decks.
As it is? It's a casual card that is kinda fun for the fact that it IS dropping 3 spawn reliably. Good with broodwarden I imagine. At point you get 3 Bears + 6-point life swing, which almost competes with the lowest of the titans.
