I dig having a new way to kill planeswalker.. but I don't so much dig giving them a 3/3 beast. Yes, I'll play it, because how many 3 mana answers to a pw are there in standard? However, it's not really card advantage.. you're just choosing between the lesser of 2 evils. Do I give them more creatures.. or let them abuse a planeswalker.. and of course normally you will choose the beasty. Consider though, that they will get the first turn use of their planeswalker to draw cards, make their own beasties, kill something, etc, and then you give them another beast on top of it to kill it. It's kind of like saying, your opponent made you discard, draw a card or etc, and put a beast into play. At that point your opponent is still ahead, just.. without their pw.
The art and flavor reminds me of the ghost busters movie where they turn into those demon dogs. :)

I don't think this is an auto-include.. but its versatility alone deserves a try. One one side you can kill a huge creature or replace one that has an annoying ability. On the other hand you can "sacrifice" a land and have an instant blocker, or a surprise attacker for the win next turn.

Blue Mage: "I cast Jace, the Mind Sculptor. You don't have Liquimetal Coating so I guess you can't Naturalize that!"
Green Mage: "That's not Jace, the Mind Sculptor, that's a 3/3 green Beast creature token as far as I'm concerned."
Blue Mage: "Lolwutno... :("

I like it. In favor of emergency-banning Jace Senior, they just threw in a ton of PW-hate in New Phyrexia. That's my observation at least, I could be totally off though.

People complain about card advantage, not realizing that a 3/3 creature with no abilities means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to a mono-green beatdown.

I'm a little surprised it wasn't printed with the wording "destroy target nonland permanent." I'm not exactly sure how a beast is bursting out of a Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle and destroying it. Also, very surprised it's not a sorcery. Even a sorcery-speed green removal spell for creatures as well as the normal artifact, enchantment, and sometimes lands is ridiculous. At least if it was sorcery speed and didn't target lands (since that just seems off, flavorfully), then it wouldn't seem like Green had a contender for top removal spells, and this card wouldn't seem as ridiculously out of color as it does. Well, I admit I'll still play it, out of color or not. After all, it is fun to say "Get rid of that 'walker, but here's a beast."

Even with drawback this is way out of Color Pie. Green should have best creatures and perhaps best token creation, NOT creature removal.

You're right. This the best Green card currently in standard. Now how sad is it that WotC can't give "the creature color" (meaning Green of course) a creature as it's best card. But at the same time they can print Phyrexian Obliterator for Black. Can't make sense of that.

not so good , since it leaves a 3/3 that can be equipped with swords to rape more face.

My friends and I, we have a small magic group and we choose to keep Mana burn as a house rule. This card makes Mana burn all kinds of fun. Gonna play something big? Better hope I dont kill that last land you need before you tap it. lol

My flavor text for this card proves that you don't have to believe an ideology in order to speak eloquently in favor of it - just being paid to do so is enough.
