I like the idea of an entire forest being destroyed as a medium sized beast crawls out of its husk.

I'm so excited about this card like everyone else! This card opens up so many new chances for other decks to raise up to the top!!

i very much like the card, but instant speed creature removal were always in the domain of red and black :O, i just find it slightly disconcerting how the rolls of the colors are mixing, etc. Black lifegain, white drawspeed, green creature removal spells...

Really let your opponent know what kind of person you are when they miss their turn three land drop and you play this next turn. They will be happy to have a vanilla 3/3 and be (at least) two turns behind on mana.

Finally, cheap green removal for any permanent, but it does have drawback

You know, a few of you think it's great for taking out blightsteel. It isn't. Blightsteel is indestructible.
@ stille_nacht: black has always had life-gain in the form of vampires haven't they? Blood-sucking creatures are part of blacks domain.
I have to say, this card doesn't make sense flavour wise. Lands, ok, that's a bit of a stretch depending on the land. Planeswalkers (except Karn) make sense because they're already biological. But enchantments? Artifacts? That makes no sense.
Know what'd be awesome tho? Make a huge (or infinite) 1/1 army. Use beast within and some duplicate combo to turn it into a 3/3 beast army. Precursor Golem and Xenograft would do, although there's bound to be another, better way to do it.

Picturing a beast exploding out of my buddy's Gideon Jura was amusing. And wonderfully, wonderfully effective.

Even if you shouldn't find a nice target on your opponent's side to use this on (which is very unlikely, unless your opponent has only some harmless little chump blockers or a lot of stuff with shroud or hexproof), you could always use it on your side if you can make better use of it.
Especially if you have something like Hatching Plans. Or simply a spare land (which might be the case in the late game).

Choosing the word Permanent over Creature makes all the difference.
