Oh, hey, a lord. I just saw some of the zombie cards and Im like Hey, maybe that Adaptive Automaton would actually have some use, as zombies doesn't have a legit lord. But nope. That card still sucks.

I can't help but like this guy.
I also can't help but compare him to Imperious Perfect. He needs fuel and more mana to make friends, she only needs one mana. I understand they have +1/+1 but needing a creature in a grave should make up for that. If only his ability were only one mana cheaper, but as is, I prefer a lot of the other zombie lords to him. Lord of the Undead is almost like a better cemetery reaper in some ways. Undead Warchief is, well, undead warchief.

This guy is pretty nice, graveyard combo disruption (think of him as a miniature The Mimeoplasm in this regard), and he lands you a 2/2 token (shich becomes a 3/3) and if you're running him with Death Baron he gets even better. Although I think he would've been better if it allowed for any card to be exiled, but as he stands he stops Eldrazi, Reanimation, and most Dredge(shuts down Golgari Thug!). In EDH this guy is amazing disruption because of all the graveyard reoccurence involved in the format. Throw him in if you're having trouble and you'll see what I mean.

I've been hanging on to this one and many other zombie lords hoping that their time to shine would come again. W/ the badlands back again, it's a shame it couldn't be the zombie master. Nothing beats an army of swamp walking zombies after your opponant has unwillingly provided the swamp.

Works well with random discard (Hymn to Tourach!).

Maindeckable grave-hate, similar to Scavenging Ooze in that manner.
Doesn't even need to be in a Zombie deck to get good use out of it; as the only zombie in your deck he occasionally makes 3/3 zombies and screws up decks where applicable.

4.5

Wow.
its cheep as hell to play, it will keep anything and everything down, it's got great tribal support, and it chucks a 3/3 zombie out the other end every time without fail.

Damn this is going to become a classic one day - if it hasn't already...
