I predict this may turn out to be one of the most underrated cards in the set. Giving lifelink to ANY creature with an emergency chump blocker for only 2 CMC is worth at least a sideboard, I think.

Of course, the analogy fails because the pilgrim here won't return to your hand if he dies, but he's definitely reusable.

In a race for quick damage, this guy rocks. How great is an extra 6-10 life when you are playing lots of aggressive creatures who can damage quickly. The opponent has an even bigger job to do and gives you more time to sneak in those late attackers.

Would have been much cooler as a 2/3 for 
. In this way, it's would be much more likely to soulbind with a creature already in play, f.e. a Knight on turn 2.

@JRE47 I'd like to agree, and sure in the prerelease this did nasty things, but t2 is full of removal, and this is just too weak... it gives lifelink to any creature, but you are one gut shot away from losing both this and the creature it gave lifelink to. Plus lifegain isn't an actually powerful effect for white weenie in standard: if the board gets dominated by the other player, it won't mind if you have 20 or 35 life: you won't catch up. That's why in constructed I don't see it being any playable.
I'd rather pay one more for tandem lookout for a really powerful effect (And then again I'm not sure even the tandem will make it since it's vulnerable aswell)

I have been using him in constructed with other creatures that raise toughnes or enchantments, gave my deck a hole new strategy
