I do believe this is the first bear we've seen in Innistrad.

I hope the next set in the block introduced werebears.

This looks to be a really solid common. Being a bear is icing.

Should totally have cost 1 less.

Comparisons to other bears aside, probably not.

Wow, a new card for my super-casual Bear deck. It's actually starting to be somewhat fearsome with cards like this. One step closer to making Bears the #1 Threat in Magic as well as to America.

Being able to hit other creatures with his morbid bonus makes him better than he first seems.

I thought it was pretty good, something I might run in a low-power casual deck when I thought it gave the counters to itself. The idea of slapping 'em on Animar makes me want to put him in my EDH deck, however.

This guy's going straight into my Animar deck. 3 counters on animar for {2}{G} (or less) and a grizzly? Don't mind if I do.

It's tough to say how good this is, because Morbid is not always a condition you want to meet. Sure, you want to kill your opponents' creatures, but if you can't kill theirs, your only option is to kill your own via sacrifice or suicidal attack. The question is whether a 4/4 is worth 3 and a card. ...Why does that seem familiar?

@Totema:
You mean REintroduces werebears. But yes, it would be cool. Unfortunately, it won't happen because the Innistrad block is based around classic horror cliches, and werebears are rather uncommon.

No way this deserves less than 4 stars. Compare to Leatherback Baloth in power and cost, and remember that it can put its counters on other creatures.
