I've always really liked Memnonic Nexus. The ability to throw a wrench in the plans of any mill or Dredge deck is so satisfying.
Now this thing comes along and even upsets any combos in the works. Masterful.

People who dislike this, it's TIMETWISTER. If it cost 1 less, even 1 colorless less, it would be incredibly broken.

The point was made on MTGSalvation that this kind of effect is probably impossible to balance; either its cost is low enough that it's capable of lopsiding the early game, or will offer no real advantage in casting if the earliest you can viably cast it is turn 7 or 8 (you weren't planning on this being your ONLY spell of the turn, were you?).

Can't believe this is rated so low. I mean, what are you comparing it to, Time Spiral, Timetwister? Don't be ridiculous, those two cards are travesties. The effect is amazing (as is the artwork!), you just have to know how to use it.
I've read people claiming that the problem is that, due to the cost, this might be your only spell of the turn, giving your opponent a chance to strike back. Really?
Let's see:
-What about High Tide (yes, yes, Time Spiral works better, but this is 19 dollars cheaper and won't lead to your opponent punching you in the face)? Accelerate with HT, cast this, draw, play Turnabout, cast Blue Sun's Zenith into drawing Palinchron and another Zenith, win game.
-Someone here mentioned using this, then using the mana acceleration from Grand Architect to cast the metric ton of artifacts you just drew.
