Saying Wrath of God doesn't need flavor text isn't insulting Shakespeare, or the flavor text for that matter. Wrath of God is a beautifully simple and elegant card that does best with as little extraneous text as possible.
This card is cluttered, which is the exact opposite of how Wrath of God should look.

This is the strangest reminder text ever. The coolest still belongs to Obsidian Fireheart.
P.S. I know how you feel, Xtwistedsoul. My local store owner bought my foil gideon for $20. Only later did I realize it did not sell for $40, but $80.

Yea, I wish they had put this flavor text in the regular editions. Too late now though, since it's not being printed anymore.

When I first started back in the day I pulled one of these. The Jerk store owner talked me into trading it for a bunch of junk commons. Im glad he lost the shop.

i agree that the wording is bad and that it shouldn't have flavor text, but i do like the picture.

@Tiggurix: It's the worst printing of the card because of how stupidly Wizards dumbed the wording down for Portal, not because of the flavor text.
The flavor text comes from one of Shakespeare's greatest plays. Do not *** with Shakespeare.

A perfect example of how Wizards tried to dumb down the game for Portal. Note how it fails to mention regeneration, and specifies that your creatures are destroyed as well.

Tiggurix: Do you know when you can bend the word "perfect"? WHEN YOU ARE MOTHER*** SHAKESPEARE.
Do not speak ill of The Bard.
