Throughout my fantasy career I have seen just about every sword
I have battled with and against frostmourne in my time with the Horde
I have read of Excalibur, Masamune, Hywelbane and Sanglamore
I have seen scimitars, broadswords and other weapons of war
I have played against war and peace, famine and feast
I have seen razors, daggers, dirks and the claws of the beast
I have even seen the horror of a certain jitte
But there is one blade that really ruins my day
That one frustrating blade is the blade of doom
Void without substance but it cuts like steel
Removal flying around, I am like “for real!?”
I sac my 20 tokens with a doubling season down
Eighty one one army deserving of its renown
I am pretty happy, gonna beat him with my zoo
But something is wrong…my friend taps for two

Iconic black removal 5/5
black: destruction doom blade
white: exile path to exile
red: burn lightning bolt
blue: counter counterspell
green: combat tricks (!?) giant growth

I totally agree on that point.
It was more meant like its a classic black MECHANIC - i know that its not classic in the sense of "old".
The examples i chose were the ones that (on my opinion) are the best/most commonly used nowadays for each mechanic/color. (although "best" is relative, i know - you get the idea)
Thats the reason why there is doom blade in 
and counterspell in 
on my list.
But i agree that the wording "classic" is surely a little bit misleading - deleted it :)
