One of the keys to this card is that the cycling is uncounterable. 8CMC sounds like a rip off for 6 damage but when it draws a card and can't be Twincast or Swerved by an opponent you are looking at a nice effect. I would have like to see it cost 1 less colorless none the less.

If you reduced the initial casting cost to 1Red, then this would be rated at least a full star higher. Maybe have the cycling ability go from 5BlackRedGreen to 1BlackRedGreen but make it so it can only hit creatures, I don't think it would be overpowered at all and perhaps would see play today

I've never used the cycling ability, there's always something that needs torching, and I save all my bolts for last.

3 damage for 2Red is bad. 6 damage and a card draw for 5BlackRedGreen is also bad. No real reason to use this card, there are better alternatives, just use Banefire if you don't wanna be countered.

The only card in this cycle that's worth the cost is Resounding Wave, because it's Regress (A fairly costed card) with an overcosted overclocked mode. No other Resounding card is fairly costed.

It would be really, really funny to see someone spend all the mana to cycle one of these, only to see it get stifled, and by funny, I mean sad...

2/5 Stars
