@JWMidnight: Color-changing effects are indeed not too common overall, but turning a permanent into the same color as the spell is something each color has always been able to do. Take a look at the laces for instance.
And that "bellicosity"-effect is a typical red thing.
Additionally, i think when someone goes REAG-mode, he certainly will become red.
Just take the artwork as a reference :D

Why? I guess it may have some use elsewhere, but not in M11. I suppose it could be used in conjunction with those color specific cards, like Doom Blade and Combust, or effects like Fear. If so that's really specific. Why is it red? Someone correct me somewhere.

This is certainly helpful. Could potentially save any high priority target like Baneslayer Angel (as much as I hate her) from having Combust used on her.

I just use it to kill Ice Cages, things I want my Ulamog's Crusher to block, and the occasional Phantom Beast.

Seeing as most new players will be buying core set, this is a great card to introduce them to one of Red's most defining characteristics... RAGE.

The problem with the card, if it wasn't obviously, is that it's so situational, even in limited. If you use it to force one of their creatures to attack in order to block it with one of yours and kill it, you're getting no card advantage, and you're relying on them not playing any combat tricks or anything.

What's a little funny is that all they had to do was increase the mana by one, or *possibly* 2, and give it a cantrip. Then it suddenly becomes very good. Best case it'd be a two for one; worst case it's cycling in red. But alas, it was not to be.

Pretty good level indicator though. At the M11 release event I had a player cast this on a non-summoning-sick Steel Overseer. Good times.
