My third favorite out of this cycle, Soramaro always has a special place as the first of them I tried to build around. He still gets massive points just for having flying, and I really do like his ability, I just wish it didn't cost me four mana. When I'm playing a deck where I get a large hand-size, there's usually card advantage in my hand that is more fairly costed than his ability.

Out of all the 'first to' legendaries, this one is definitely the best. it's ability actually ups it's power and toughness by two!

If you want a creature like this, Sphinx of Magosi is better in almost every way: Cheaper draw with no downside, starts at 6/6 no matter how many cards are in your hand.

Although returning a land to your hand seems like a downside (usually it is), the ability also is putting another card in your hand, thus buffing him even further. This could easily catch someone unfamiliar with Soramaro off guard during combat. So, for all intents and purposes, you are putting 2 cards in your hand for 4 mana. Not as bad when you think of it that way.

Obviously, you should pack some cards like Venser's Journal or Reliquary Tower to get the most power out of this guy. Enchant him with Righteous Authority to double his strength. He is definitely not to be underestimated.
