Cool card, but he looks like he was scooped out of a WoW cutscene.

Training Grounds breaks this, like it does everything.

EDIT: You're right Chosen, misread it. Nice catch!

hmm, good potential but i kinda wish that the effect was 2 mana, both black, instead of 3.

I think, oddly enough, that he is one of the least compatible cards with Grixis.
Why, you might ask: in grixis, things already have Unearth, and he doesn't need to give it to them.

I think that he would go well in a deck where you abuse discard or sacrifice.
Personally, I would almost say to have him be the only card that accesses the graveyard, so that other cards don't step on his ability.

The best way to use this guy is devour. Devour some stuff, unearth the devoured stuff, so that they can be devoured again.

Arachibutyrophobia, Sedris is sentient only because he, in life, made sure that he would retain his memories in death. And he's not really resurrecting them, it's that it's hard to say whether things on Grixis are ever truly dead or alive.

Anyway, I like when a card takes a block mechanic and makes it work outside of the block, so this card gets good marks from me.
