I think this card pairs very well with a birthing pod. With a little mill like Forbidden Alchemy you can be birthing a lot of powerful creatures every turn while not having to limit the number of creatures on the field.

One of the coolest cards of all time! Soo many possibilities within his colors, not to mention one of the most badass EDH generals ever! If you know the block story at all, then you would know how awsomely flavorful he really is! And is there ANYONE who would disagree that he has one of the most epic flavor texts of all time? A bona-fied 5/5 masterpiece! (Then again, I could be biased...)

Fun combo: Run him in a deck with Bazaar TraderYukora, the Prisoner and Phyrexian War Beast.

When you have Sedris and the Bazaar Trader in play and Yukora and/or Phyrexian War Beast in your graveyard, unearth a War Beast or Yukora and donate it with Bazaar Trader. Then laugh maniacally at the end of turn as your opponent sacrifices all non-ogre (most of the time just all) creatures they control, or sacrifice a land and lose a life.

BANG: CONVOLUTED AND UNDERWHELMING COMBO.

Just stumbled across a fun combo with this guy for my EDH (Commander) deck. The unearthed creature is subject to exile, but if you exile it yourself with an effect like Ghostly Flicker, then it comes back permanently! This means that you can use Changeling Berserker, Cold Storage, Conjurer's Closet, Day of the Dragons, Deadeye Navigator, Faceless Butcher, Frenetic Sliver (if it's a Sliver and you're lucky), Helvault, Lightning Crafter (Goblin or Shaman), Mistbind Clique (Faerie), Nephalia Smuggler, Norin the Wary (only himself), Nova Chaser (Elemental), Oubliette, Portcullis, Safe Haven, Sengir Nosferatu/auto... (see all)

I run him in EDH, and let me tell you, he's effective. Blue, Black, and Red get access to some of my very favorite spells in the game, and very powerful creatures to boot. I don't even cast him in half my games; the mere threat of him in the late game with Black Market and Cabal Coffers with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth is usually enough to significantly rustle my opponent's Jimmies. With fatties like Demon of Death's Gate, powerful enters the battlefield effects such as Rune-Scarred Demon and Sphinx of Uthuun, and the amazing synergy with Titans, the deck often grinds my opponents into the dust. It feels good.

Also, for Sedris's story: http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/stf/5

Guy is pretty effective as a commander and is pretty strong for six mana and 5/5. Expect graveyard hijinks with this guy in play.
