If you play blue black controle you need this card...also you probably need geaths verdict...this card has won FNM`s for me its so good like if you give it a sword youv one practicaly!!!

It does. It's a staple in a lot of 43 lands decks.

So, how's about that look on your face when I turn this into a creature, put a +1/+1 counter on it, and then make an Experiment Kraj a 3/2 Unblockable Elemental until end of turn. Sure, it's 6 mana. But man, is it funny.
I just never understood the "It's still a land" clause; why isn't that parenthesized reminder text? As it's written, it is part of the effect. Why does Kraj say he's still a land, when he never was one? The effect clearly states he is.

This is really good. If you have static pump effects, it can get in for a lot of damage. Also, while more mana-intensive, equipping the tar pit can be brutal.
